Don't know where you people have been. When this project was first announced, it was stated that they would host competitions at Lake Placid, even during the township planning commission and board meetings. Also, mention of this was made on wzzm13.com ( http://www.wzzm13.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=59356 ) back on August 11, 2006.

"The development will also be able to host water-skiing competitions of a national caliber."
