I'm sure that many SF writers will comment, as I did above, about losing another market to sell their stories. Of course, one of the arguments against short fiction markets is that too many of those interested in them are interested in SELLING to them and not BUYING.

Honestly, I think this is kind of backwards; often, it seems to me, the only people buying from short fiction markets, or at least a significant percentage, are those who are trying to sell to them. But that's just not sustainable, and I don't think it's realistic to rely on contributors or potential contributors for a market's support. Unless you want to get down to a mere handful of markets specifically catering to a sort of inbred, closed genre.

But, I think that's where genre short fiction has been headed for a while.
