Click to the right of the offending facebook app and hide it forever. :) I've got almost all that stuff hidden now and my FB experience is pretty clean and pleasant.

I will always remember the intensity of the silence, living in Anchorage near an airport and national guard base, when the planes all stopped flying. I think some will mourn until they find closure of some sort, and I'm not entirely sure closure is possible with a tragedy of this magnitude.
