An amazing talent. And one gawky human being -- watching him conduct an orchestra was like watching Big Bird. (grin) Looks like (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Zappa) this Grand Valley State Colleges concert at the Dome was just before he broke up with the second incarnation of The Mothers -- huh, Frank died just before his 53rd birthday, not quite two years older than I am. Puts some perspective on things...
