Howard to Stadium to Drake to W. Main -- that is LONGER and more convoluted than W. Michigan to Drake to W. Main, plus the Stadium/Drake intersection is where the lane closure madness begins on Stadium right now and that route still involves the idiots in the left turn lane from Drake. Sure, you can take a left turn at the Post Office off Drake and sneak behind the mall and come out on W. Main by the Shell station, but at rush hour that left turn lane gets really long and that light has a short cycle.

In theory you can go straight on Drake and eventually end up on D Avenue and get on US-131 that way. But it's a slow detour. (The I just wanna go home grin!)

Going the wrong way into downtown and getting Business-131 adds considerable time. (grin) Plus I have this allergy to going east to go west. (huge grin)
