This brought back memories of having to clear out my mother's apartment in San Diego. Gave most things away to friends and acquaintances; no regrets about any of the decisions; a couple of funny stories... But yeah. The emptiness of the apartment was just strange.

And bloody vultures coming to the door wanting to know if I was having a yard sale, and how soon the apartment would be available. Sheesh.
