The Good

Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine, a marvelous Australian SF magazine of which I've been a great fan, has accepted my short story "Machine" for ASIM #35 in April 2008. Subject to the usual rewrite/editing requests, of course.

Yay! First sale of 2007!

"Machine", 10,800 words, was inspired by the Pink Floyd song "Welcome to the Machine". This was its sixth outing in the wide world. ASIM doesn't pay much, but it's a very cool cooperative organization and it gets reviewed and brings visibility to the Australian SF world.

I am chuffed.

Congrats, Phil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd go play Machine in your honor, but all my Pink Floyd is on Vinyl and stored away with the turntable.

Panasonic has a new turntable with a USB port so you can make DRM-free MP3s from your vinyl...
