Be glad

you weren't in the Syracuse area about a week ago...I had a really good laugh watching them dig out of a 2-plus foot snowfall like we did when we were kids...looked so familiar!

And then a friend of mine is in Cleveland checking up on his 89/90 year-old grandparents, nice 30-something southern boy. He told me last night he's seen more snow, in this case lake-effect snow, in the last 5 days than he's seen in his whole life...and he was here in '93 when we had that blizzard, excuse me, land-based hurricane low, that dumped over 2 feet on the whole southeastern half of the country!!

btw, Atlanta's weather community got real excited a couple of weeks ago, we had two "winter weather" situations with in a 5 day period. Just like little kids, even the head weather gurus for the stations came in during the weekend one. And we got lucky and dodged the black-ice bullet when after a day of rain, sleet and then snow, the wind came in before the temperatures dropped into the 20's.
