All The Good Stuff Shows Up On Jeopardy!

Question on the kid's tourney on Jeopardy! this week had to do with the Fluffernutter. Ah, such memories from my childhood. I'd have a Fluffernutter sometime soon, except you can only buy the damned Kraft Marshmallow Cream around here, and not the Real Product. Sacrilege!

Of course the ultimate kid gooey mess was my aunt who made us Open Faced Fluffernutter sandwiches one time. Oh my! (My mother, I think, still has nightmares about that.) (grin)

Stuff Ripped From Other People's Blogs

From John Scalzi's AOL Blog (not the Whatever), a link to an article about the mid-air collision between a bizjet and a 737 over Brazil -- the brand new bizjet remarkably survived.

Via Clarionite [livejournal.com profile] albogdan, a C Programming joke about current legislative efforts on trials.

From Clarionite John Schoffstall, aka [livejournal.com profile] slithytove, a bit of UNIX humor... ED is the Standard Editor -- sometimes the old ones are good ones.

More Big Food Nonsense

The Burger King BK Quad Stacker...

Sure the Burger King Quad Stacker's four beef patties, four slices of American cheese, eight strips of bacon, BK Stacker Sauce, and sesame seed bun may not seem heavy at 311 grams, compared with the 413-gram Hardee's Monster Thickburger...

Instead of the 1,410 calories, 107 grams of fat, 45 grams of saturated fat, 229 milligrams of cholesterol, and 2,740 milligrams of sodium from the Hardee's Monster Thickburger, I had to settle for the 1,000 calories, 68 grams of fat, 30 grams of saturated fat, 240 milligrams of cholesterol, and 1,800 milligrams of sodium in the Burger King Quad Stacker.

The piece linked here is funnier, but Jeez Louise...

What is it about all this damned need for bacon on everything?

Thank You

You may all return to your normal lives of quiet desperation now.
