I was so enjoying writing this meme up, that I failed to notice that I managed to mess up 45 years ago and used 1965 instead of 1964. I suspect the problem is that when I look back on my childhood, I tend to use the academic year such as 1964-65, since my birthday fell near (or on) the first day of class, rather than calendar years. Well, I like the 1965 story -- more interesting I suspect that 1964 -- so I'll stick with it. (grin)
