Really? Ha! I've seen a number of herons in flight around here and assumed that if it had a long neck, it might be a heron. Figured that with the backlighting color might not be the best indicator. Plus I have such bad luck looking up birds in bird books -- I always seem to get something listed as extinct or lives only in Costa Rica. (grin)

Whatever they were, they were graceful and pretty and patiently walking along the field -- and ignoring the guy stopped on the outer ring road and taking their picture. (double-grin)
