Absolutely. The standard is "Right of Way is yours to give, not yours to take." Whenever I get in a situation when I question whether the other guy is going to respect my right of way, I am not going to force the issue. Any other course leads to either madness/road rage or a wreck. And I've neither the time nor the money for dealing with either.
