Actually I was going to rant later that FOX-17 was only showing the Yule Log from 12-12:30. What's up with that? That's hours after the kids have shredded their packages!
Years ago we'd taped the Yule Log, but it got accidentally taped over after one Christmas. So then around 2005 FOX-17 started doing the 1970 film loop again and we taped that.
I am told that this year on premium HD digital channels we don't get, that someone is doing a 3D Yule Log. What the hell were they thinking? The point of the Yule Log is background carols and a "warm" cozy fire while you do other things. This does NOT work if you have to have battery powered 3D glasses on while trying to open presents or cook or read or whatever. Worst choice of 3D material of the year, as far as I'm concerned. (grin)
