Sweet Child of Mine is one of those songs you can name after the first 4 or 5 notes of the guitar intro. And ONLY Mr. Slashtastic can sound like that.
It still amazes me that of all the things that got screwed up in that segment, his solo came through pure to the note. I started looking for him as soon about the 3rd note and was rewarded when he arose through the floor.
While I've seen Slash with his own bands a few times over the years, I've always regretted I never got to see Guns & Roses live during their prime.
