3rd Quarter Finalists Announced!

The third quarter finalists are hereby announced for both the Writers and Illustrators of the Future Contests. They are:

Writers

Ian McHugh of Hackett Australia
Stephanie Henderson of Irvine California
Brent Knowles of Edmonton Canada
Spencer Ellsworth of Bothell Washington
Kim Gillett of Rochester New York
KJ Kabza of Somerville Massachusetts
Al Bogdan of Huntington Woods Michigan
Dr. Philip Kaldon of Allendale Michigan

Please note that the last two entries come from the 2004 Clarion workshop, home of a WOTF Grand Prize Winner from the other year, John Schoffstall.

Also note that the judges are still working on the awards, so I'm not out of the prizes yet.

And further note that I already have a Finalist (no prize) from the Q1 WOTF contest.

That's a lot of notes.

Go us!

Thanks.

And I'm jealous that you got to do both SF events in China and Japan. (grin)

Well, once we finish tallying up all the costs, you might be able to keep that jealousy in check.

Yeah, but that's on your dime. I can still be jealous. Besides, I blew a lot of money on a Rinnai water heater and an automatic backup generator this August -- both of which will be Very Useful in the future. But I can dream of blowing that money on Yokahama, etc. (grin)

Thanks. I had a Finalist in Q3 2003 and of course the one in Q1 2007, but having two Finalists in one year -- that's beginning to get interesting, so I have various appendages crossed in anticipation.

Oh, and congrats on Your Accomplishment, too!

I am becoming surrounded by WOTF winners, and dammit, I wanna be one, too!
