Sunday afternoons usually involve sitting and typing and working around the house. During much of the year there's baseball, football, and even the March Madness of NCAA Basketball. But February? Not a damn thing on TV on Sundays, afternoon or night. Ever.
The Question Remains
Let's see. SciFi Channel is doing a Star Trek: Enterprise marathon. I know a lot of people never took to ST:E, but we liked it. They did some clever takes on meeting future allies and enemies. And watching the pre-Federation without the Prime Directive, and the manipulations of the Vulcans, made one think a lot about where OST and ST:NG came from. But I don't want to spend all day watching something I have to think about -- I've got things to do.
Discovery has a Mythbusters marathon. That's always good. Look -- the 1pm and 2pm shows are blowing up a cement truck and baseball myths. Fine way to spend a couple of hours.
And from 3-6pm it's Puppy Bowl IV on Animal Planet. Rerunning it from 6-9pm and 9-midnight, in case one missed any of it. I'll watch up through the Kitty Half-Time Show and then take a nap for an hour.
Mmm... could watch the amazing Kate Winslet in Sense & Sensibility on Turner Classic Movies, 8-10:30pm. But I've got the DVD.
TNT is doing a marathon of Mrs. Kevin Bacon's The Closer, and ESPN is doing figure skating at 8pm.
Ooh... AMC is doing all FIVE Death Wish movies with Charles Bronson. Why are these American Movie Classics? (grin)
The Real Question Is
... why is FOX-TV running a new episode of House on a Sunday night from 10:15-11:15pm? That's odd no matter how you look at it. What was FOX thinking? It's a school night, for gosh sakes.
