I Made It

Just had a lovely light supper at the Alpine Avenue Schuler's Books and Music. In half an hour, fantasy writer jimhines Jim C. Hines will be doing a reading and a signing for his third Goblin novel, Goblin War.

Fortunately I was heading north on US-131 through Grand Rapids, because there an accident nearly at 28th Street and southbound traffic was jammed solid all the miles back through the downtown S-curve and not moving. I had hoped to make it here by 6pm and made it three minutes early. I fear those stuck in the traffic are still there. Sorry -- not my fault.

Is that the accident that slowed down 96 West, too? I know there was something causing a bit of a backup. Not too bad, but annoying...

No, the 96 thing was the usual combination of the traffic and construction at the Beltline bottleneck and I think an accident near Cascade. And it was a very fun time last night. Looking foward to the new series. I've sisters with and without -in-law who'll benefit, but you're missing Christmas. (grin)
