Another Sale

Yesterday I got an email from Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine giving me a tracking number for a submission. When I got home, there was another email from ASIM, but it wasn't about that story, it was about an earlier submission.

Re: "In The Blink Of An Eye"

... we'd like to publish your story in Issue #39 of The Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine...

YAY!

This will be my second story published by this fine Australian SF magazine. The first, "Machine", may be in Issue #35 which "just got back from the printers". I'll let you know when I find out. You don't even have to spring for that expensive ocean flying snail mail, because you can buy issues by the PDF.

This is so exciting.

I've already said yay elsewhere, but I'm gonna say it again so I can use the 'huzza' icon. Yay!

I'll go on the record saying in this election year that I am strongly in favor of any opportunity to use the "huzza" icon.

Thanks, John!

Many thanks, kind sir.

I need to get some more stories finished, but somehow I've managed to keep a lot of stories in the field -- I still have thirteen submissions juggled in the air right now!

Hi there! Due to the vagaries of the space-time continuum, your story "Machine" is actually not in issue #35. The editor of that issue was briefly devoured by the warp worms on Andromeda 9, and only recently re-emerged to carry on with her ASIMly duties. It will appear in an upcoming issue real soon (and I'm sure Zara will be in touch about it shortly!).

Cheers

Yeah. I've got issue #35 here in America, but I'd already seen the cover and my name wasn't there. I'm sure Zara will be in touch, too, but Zara'a been pretty busy. (grin)

Actually, ASIM #35 has an editorial pointing out that it is the first issue actually edited by an alien -- so I'm sure that has something to do with it, too. (double-grin)
