dr_phil_physicsIn the last week I ended my two week stay in the LTACH facility on the sixth floor and am now in the sub acute facility on five in the same building. After my previous experience, we decided to stick with Spectrum Health.
Today I stood.
On my two legs, knees straightened, most of the weight on my right foot, wearing an offloading shoe to protect my left heel. Now I had help and the first time I was shocked at how heavy I felt -- this after I lost some 80-90 lbs. while sick. And not for long, just twenty to thirty seconds on each of four standings.
But I was vertical and standing.
