What A Difference A Week Makes

So last week Michigan beat up on Notre Dame, setting the NCAA attendance record of over 115,000 in the Big House in Ann Arbor. Notre Dame has decided to end the games with Michigan, some eighty times since the 1880's, when U of M once taught ND how to play football. It sounded like one of the Michigan coaches called Norte Dame "chicken".
This week the University of Akron Zips are visiting the Wolverines. Akron is something like 3-33 over the past three years, and have a 27 consecutive road loss record coming into Ann Arbor.
And now it's fourth down on the four, goal to go, five seconds, one play, Akron with the ball...
No good. Incomplete pass. Michigan wins 28-24.
It's what I've always said. Sometime, sooner or later, you have to play the game.
Northwestern hosting Western Michigan (!) tonight at 9pm EDT.
