Well That Was A Non-Event
Tuesday, 18 February 2014 14:16There is sunshine outside at 2:17pm. The potential disaster on the morning roads? Didn't happen. Given how coated they were by evening and the threat of drifting overnight, roads were smooth, free (mostly) of ice and slippery patches, and unlike the 40-car pileup on I-94 last night, most people didn't drive like idiots.
Hopefully that holds for the next few hours.
While Wednesday sounds nice, we are still looking at 1-1½" of rain on Thursday -- with mounds of snow and plugged storm drains in town, followed by a hard freeze on Friday. We'll keep Skype warmed up for the end of the week. (grin)
