Michigan versus The New Guys

There were two new additions to the Big 10 conference football season this year. And in results symptomatic of how their seasons have gone, the two Michigan members of the Big 10 did the following.
Michigan State beat Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, 45-10.
The University of Maryland beat the University of Michigan 23-16.
Go Spartans.
The only Big 10 game we saw was Wisconsin pulling away from Iowa at the end. Iowa tried to make a game of it, but fell short. And I got an email from Northwestern saying the Wildcats beat Purdue.
Go Badgers. Go Cats.
I could, as faculty, get free tickets to Friday's game in Kalamazoo between Western Michigan University and Northern Illinois. NIU has been real tough this year. Not sure the weather will be conducive for an 11am post-Turkey Day round-trip. That and maneuvering a football stadium with a walker doesn't sound like fun. (grin) Besides, I will have 160 book reports to be grading, so...
