Christmas Dinner II
Sunday, 28 December 2014 02:14Thursday we went to Chicago. Friday we went to the movies. Saturday, well, Saturday we finally had our own Christmas dinner. After we drove to Grand Haven and Bekins to buy a new dishwasher, that is.
Roast duck.
Mmmm. Roast duck, done with just some salt and pepper and nothing else. Some wild rice and baby portabella mushrooms, two kinds of cranberries, and a favorite sweet potato casserole. Mrs. Dr. Phil's Christmas stollen for dessert -- we had the poppyseed cake with breakfast. (grin)

The plate, drenched in delicious duck gravy. The duck was so tender, no knife needed -- and the skin was lovely and crispy. For those of you who like that sort of thing. (grin) (Click on photo for larger.)

Merry Christmas to us! And once again to everyone else.
