dr_phil_physicsI suppose it should be obvious, but I shan't be at ConFusion near Detroit this weekend.
It's a real bummer. I mean, it seemed a good idea at the time. And early on, one of the PT people thought it wasn't out of the question to have ConFusion as a goal -- it's even the weekend after MLK Day and not the weekend of...
So I'll miss all the fun and panels and people.
And it's not as if I am not working. Last week I hopped 27 feet in the hallway with the walker. Today we did that again, except I made 53 feet.
But I've got to move on my crutches. And I see the surgeon on Wednesday, and we're still not healed enough to try a prosthetic. So, as I see it, I'm here at least into February...
We'll get there, of course. And ConFusion in 2017... And WorldCon 75 in Helsinki... Dammit!
Onward. Have fun at ConFusion, kids.
