2004 Clarion classmate Trent Hergenrader is now working on a Master's at UW-Milwaukee. His latest blog entry says something important to all new/young writers about Nobody Sees The Rejections.
I couldn't agree more. While you don't want to dump total trash on editors left and right, you can send things out and then decide to rewrite them before sending them out again.
Frankly, waiting until your writing is "perfect" is counter productive. Most editors will make suggestions or request rewrites -- and if you're still high on your vaunted story being "perfect" you won't have a good attitude in getting the work successfully done.
