Just saw a trailer for a new SF movie produced by Peter Jackson -- District 9.

A sci-fi/action story set in a fictional world, where extraterrestrials have become refugees in South Africa.

While I like Independence Day for what it is, this looks like it might be a far better movie.

Not to say that this is a direct 1-for-1 replacement for Independence Day, or V for that matter, or even the clever Alien Nation, but this feels more real. "More better." And that's rare for SF films. (grin)

ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW, I CANT WAIT TO SEE THIS ONE!!!! LIKE REALITY TV MEETS ALIEN NATION, I LIKE....KIND OF GOT A EARTH FINAL CONFLICT ELEMENT TO IT THAT PIQUES MY INTEREST AS WELL...I WILL BE IN THE MOVIE LINES FOR SURE:)...BTW I HEARD RUMORS THAT THEY ARE GOING TO BE DOING A REMAKE OF THE V MINISERIES INTO A FULL FEATURE FILM DR. YES. I HAD HEARD THAT THEY ARE REMAKING V. DAMN NEAR EVERYTHING IS BEING REMADE -- EVEN THIS IS APPARENTLY BASED ON A SHORT MOVIE FROM SOUTH AFRICA. (GRIN)
